The State of the Mobile App Stores Economy
This presentation from App Annie on the Mobile App Stores Economy was my favorite from this week’s Casual Connect conference. Lots of good material for anyone interested in mobile.
Here were the main takeaways for me:
- US leads in revenues, but Asia Pacific leads in downloads
- Asia Pacific is quickly catching up in revenues too
- Some top global countries are making very little in the US
- Top US publishers still make 1/2 their revenues outside the US
- Christmas leads to over a 50% mo/mo increase in revenues
- iOS growing faster in Asia, Google Play fastest in Europe and Japan
- Google Play still 1/3 revenues of iOS, but catching up
